A bit of an international feel for the Farm Report, as Scotty talks about the next step for Nathan Walker as he goes at his third go-round for the NHL Draft after a season in the AHL. Not only that, but which UK hockey team signed an affiliation with the ECHL?? You'll find out in the report-- plus what's going on with the CHL's attendance and what it takes to make a seamless jump from the AHL to the NHL through the eyes of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Marlies organizations. We'll get you the latest playoff news and of course, We Hardly Knew Ye.
This week, Scotty talks about the situation that lead to the Abbotsford Heat leaving the city and what it could mean for the possible Thunder Bay AHL team. Also, what does this mean for the situation in Glens Falls and if the arena in Glens Falls could get the upgrades it needs to be a desirable town to come to. The Las Vegas Wranglers moved from the rooftop to the parking lot as their new arena plans were unveiled, plus the Sabres get an ECHL affiliate that is closer to home. All that, plus playoff updates and We Hardly Knew Ye.
After an unplanned week hiatus, we're back and crown our first minor league hockey champion, that being in the SPHL; as well as hearing some outsider's views on how the SPHL can get better and what they need to do in order to get some respect. The AHL is looking to shake up their league and possibly the entire minor league hockey landscape, while Jake Allen is trying to shake up the St. Louis Blues depth chart. We'll talk about ECHL players still in school, AHL coaches trying to help transition players to the pro level, the CHL playoffs, and of course-- We Hardly Knew Ye.
