Chesapeake Hockey Week 06.08.21 (S3E36): Black Bears Backs Against the Wall, More Stevenson Commits, and a Draft Pick in the Family

This week, Scotty Wazz talks about the Maryland Black Bears on the brink of elimination and what can be done to make sure they can play their full amount of games in this series. Also, Stevenson University Men's hockey welcomed two more recruits to their stable, while the London Knights keep it in the family with the selection of Blake Montgomery to their team in the OHL Draft. 

Face Off Hockey Show 06.02.21: Road Out of Columbus, Leafs Hit Dead End, and Lyle's Pick Never Yield

This week, on the heels of Seth Jones' news; the boys talk about what the hell is so wrong with Columbus that everyone leaves. The Toronto Maple Leafs collapse in the most comedic of ways, Robert Morris University is looking to save their hockey programs after getting canned last week, and Lyle Richardson of Spector's Hockey makes his Round 2 picks against a bunch of inanimate objects. 

Chesapeake Hockey Week 06.01.21 (S3E35): Black Bears Advance, USHL Draft, and More Mustang Commits

This week, Scotty Wazz will talk about the Maryland Black Bears upsetting Johnstown to go to the East Division Final and a little preview of what is going on in that series. The USHL held their draft and plenty of Maryland talent was selected in that. Stevenson University had three more commits, Team Maryland's U16 team took home another title, and one player left from Maryland has their season come to a completion. 

Face Off Hockey Show 05.25.21: Playoffs, Expansion, and Connor McDavid

This week, the boys talk about the wild stuff happening inside and out of the IIHF World Championships, Connor McDavid fails to get out the first round with his Oilers-- Lyle Richardson from Spector's Hockey will join us to talk about what to do next in Edmonton, on top of the stuff going on in Washington. Also, we take a peek at what the Seattle Kraken will do with their expansion draft goodness, all while Wayne Gretzky is getting a TV gig.

This week, Scotty Wazz talks about the first two games of the Black Bears East Division Semis, as they took a split in Johnstown heading home for match-ups Wednesday and Thursday. Also, the Stevenson University men's squad added another commitment, as well as some news from Maryland players.

This week, Scotty Wazz talks about the Black Bears end of the regular season, as they swept the Northeast Generals as they go into the playoffs. Also, a look at the first round match-up between Johnstown and Maryland. On top of that, the Stevenson Mustang Men get a recruit from the Johnstown squad for next season to restock their blue line.

Chesapeake Hockey Week 05.12.21 (S3E32): Black Bears Are Playoff Bound, Stevenson Men's and Women's Team Receive Conference Honors

This week, Scotty Wazz talks about the Maryland Black Bears getting into the playoffs for the first time in franchise history, but also the matters at hand as they headed into Johnstown this past weekend for a first-round preview with the Tomahawks. The Stevenson Mustangs men's and women's squad were honored with UCHC awards, as well as the players from the Maryland area wrap up their seasons. 

Face Off Hockey Show 05.05.21: Tom Wilson's Antics, Rangers Dismantling Front Office, and the Kraken are a Real Team

This week, of course the boys will talk about Tom Wilson's antics and what the Department of Player Safety can actually do about anything. They'll also hypothesis the theory that this brought down the New York Rangers' front office. The Kraken's check cleared, so they are officially the 32nd NHL team, while the "Mighty Ducks: Game Changers" bring up the OG Ducks...and Kenny Wu.

This week, Scotty Wazz looks at the last two games in the Maryland Black Bears marathon week of games, while also trying to do the math on what is needed to make the playoffs. Spoilers-- the answer is to win and then not have to worry about that. Also, a look at the eight Maryland-based teams in the USA Hockey Youth Nationals. 

Face Off Hockey Show 04.28.21: Turner Sports is All NHL, New Role for a Tough Guy, and Kraken Bar-Gate

This week, the boys will talk about the new deal between Turner Sports and the NHL and the start of how they're going to get on TNT. They'll also talk about how the role of the enforcer has changed to the new-age tough guy who can do things. They'll also talk about the Seattle Kraken getting sued by a punk-rock bar, which lead to Draft Trip Memories of bars from past adventures. All that, plus border issues for the playoffs, Canadian TV deals, and Gordon Bombay continues to be a player. 

Chesapeake Hockey Week 04.28.21 (S3E30): Black Bears Tour the Northeast, Lightning Strike in Tampa, and More!!

This week, Scotty Wazz takes a look at the first half of the Maryland Black Bears marathon week, as they toured the Northeast US this week, as well as looking ahead to more crucial games coming up this weekend. The Chesapeake Bay Lightning went to USA Hockey Nationals and did pretty well for themselves, even if they didn't win it all. The Stevenson University ACHA program named their first D3 coach, while a Team Maryland alum commits to a NCAA school
