Face Off Hockey Show

This week, Uncle Scotty and Cousin Jon end the year and decade with a laid back show. They'll talk about the changing in the way blogging is happening thanks to the SB Nation ordeal, they'll talk about the terribleness of some all-decade lists, and of course-- idiocy of Jeremy Roenick. 

This week, Scotty Wazz talks about another sweep from the Maryland Black Bears, as well as a look at their first half of the season. Team Maryland went to New Jersey after a long stretch and had a week to put on the backburner, while we look at all the stats from the club teams from the calendar year of 2019 and look ahead to the home stretch. This week, the boys talk about the Taylor Hall trade to the Arizona Coyotes, when teams should really get rid of their young talent to get more into a win-now situaiton-- especially when they don't have anything on the horizon, and what's Ilya Kovalchuk's next move after being released by the Kings. All that, plus a discussion on the Springfield Thunderbirds/Simpsons crossover and much, much more. 

This week, Scotty Wazz talks with Maryland Black Bears GM and head coach Clint Mylymok. They'll recap the weekend that was for the Black Bears and whether or not it could be a jumping off point for the team moving forward. Team Maryland had two more showcase games and then another divisional game as well, while the Stevenson Club team had an illness sweep through the locker room and left them very limited in their last game before semester break. This week, the boys were rolling about things before the San Jose Sharks decided to oust Pete DeBoer, so they'll talk about that. The Stars also booted their coach, but not because of abuse or anything like that...of course. Speaking, more to the Akim Aliu story as more stuff comes out that makes you wonder if people are really that dumb in doing it and thinking it's okay. All that, plus Lyle Richardson of Spector's Hockey joins us to talk about Alex Galchenyuk on the trade block, which led to a debate on Nail Yakupov and whether his talent was wasted due to his inability or something else, the Taylor Hall sweepstakes, and much more. 

This week, Scotty Wazz talks about the Black Bears tough bounce weekend and Team Maryland nothing being able to figure out the Revolution. Stevenson's men's team finally got ranked by USCHO, while the women had a tough match in Endicott, and the Club squad had troubles in Liberty. The Loyola Greyhounds have a title belt and share of 1st place with the Terps, while Towson's women keep digging and digging; as do their male counterparts. This week, the boys talk about the firing of John Hynes and how it was a shock that he hasn't had stories come out about him. We'll talk about the cowardice of the Calgary Flames for not firing their coach behaving badly, but letting him resign. We'll talk with Lyle Richardson of Spector's Hockey about RFAs not playing this year, minor trades, and what could be in store for Taylor Hall at the trade deadline. 

This week, Scotty Wazz talks with Jackson Sterrett of the Maryland Black Bears about this life in hockey going from the Nashville-area, all the way up to Ontario before coming to join the Black Bears. Also, his thoughts on the year so far, what's left to come, and his committment to UMass-Lowell

This week, Scotty Wazz will talk about another hard-fought weekend for the Maryland Black Bears at home. Also, the Stevenson Mustangs were active all over the place-- as the Men's team swept their weekend, the Women's team came up just short in the Codfish Bowl, and the Club team had a European vacation to remember. They'll debate what they hate most about the Stadium Series jerseys, talk about what could happen with Nicklas Backstrom's next contract with the Caps, and a whole lot less. 

On this edition, Scotty talks with newly minted captain of the Maryland Black Bears, Logan Kons. They'll talk about how Logan found out, what it means to him, and what he will do with this new responsibility.
